Divorce lawyers can be escorted from the premises when they suggest that the most valuable wedding gift could be a perfectly drafted pre-nuptial agreement. ('PNA'). Whilst segueing straight from proposal to negotiations might be a little crass, it is undoubtedly wise to have at least clarified your own thoughts on the matter beforehand.
Considering whether a PNA is appropriate in your circumstances should be on any wedding 'to do' list. It can however be a sensitive subject and if it is approached in the wrong way, it can have devastating consequences and sometimes lead to the relationship ending.
