About

I specialise in commercial litigation and dispute resolution with a particular focus on insurance and reinsurance in which I represent policyholders.

The clients I tend to work with include both corporates and high net worth individuals in a variety of different sectors. Most of the matters I work on have an international element which although are often more complex, make the work interesting and varied.

As a dispute resolution lawyer, my primary aim is to help my client successfully resolve their dispute. This may mean proceeding with “traditional” litigation through the courts or exploring alternative forms of dispute resolution (e.g. mediation, adjudication) – both routes of which I have experience in.

Whilst I have experience acting in claims that relate to professional negligence, misrepresentation and breach of contract / warranty in terms of my commercial litigation work, my insurance practice specialises in coverage disputes and recoveries for cargo losses, PI claims, D&O claims and luxury asset losses.

Outside of work, my time is predominately taken up discovering new restaurants and playing sport. I play football in a league every week with my friends, am a dedicated supporter of my home team Exeter Chiefs and a keen cyclist – regularly cycling at the weekend in an attempt to explore new areas around London. This year I have also decided to take up running and have entered into both the Paris Half Marathon and the London Marathon. If that was not enough of a challenge, given that I am running for the charity Samaritans, I have also (regrettably) applied to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon dressed as a mobile phone in an attempt to promote their helpline.
