Experience

Served as counsel in a U.S. arbitration case conducted under International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Rules and where Venezuelan law was applicable. The seat of arbitration was New York (U.S.). The dispute arose out of a construction contract against a state-owned company concerning an oil terminal in Venezuela. The amount in dispute was $2 billion.

Served as London-based lead counsel in an International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration dispute involving a U.K. Grain Silage provider and the Iranian government. The amount in dispute was in excess of $250 million. The seat of arbitration was Paris under Iranian law.

Represented an Eastern European multinational against a West European Telecom multinational in proceedings at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg. German law was applicable.

Acted as counsel for an Eastern European multinational in International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration held in Vienna under the UNCITRAL rules and Swiss law concerning a license agreement in Eastern Europe.
