About

I am a Senior Associate in the Construction & Engineering department. I advise clients primarily in relation to contentious matters, representing a wide range of clients including Funders, Developers, Consultants, Contractors and Specialist Contractors.

I work with clients to avoid disputes by providing them with early, commercially-minded advice and assist with the drafting of contractual notices and other formal correspondence. Where disputes do arise, I seek commercial resolutions wherever possible but I also have considerable experience of resolving disputes by adjudication, expert determination, mediation, arbitration and litigation.

I also have experience with the NEC, JCT, and FIDIC standard form contracts and subcontracts, as well as with bespoke contracts.

  • Acting for clients in connection with a wide variety of disputes including claims related to interim payments, variations, loss and expense, delay, liquidated damages, defects, final accounts, termination and bonds.
  • Acting for a Developer in TCC proceedings arising out of a Funder’s unlawful termination of a Development and Funding Agreement.
  • Acting for an Employer in TCC proceedings arising out of a claim for £2.5m pursuant to an Advance Payment Bond.
  • Acting for a specialist sub-contractor in adjudication proceedings arising out of the main contractor’s claim for LADs of £7m.
  • Advising clients in connection with the Building Safety Act including the impact of the amendments to the DPA 1972, Building Liability Orders and Remediation Contribution Orders.
