Zouk, a private equity fund manager targeting the digital and sustainable economy, is the manager of the UK Treasury’s £400m Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund (CIIF).We recently advised them on a joint venture with multinational telecomms business Liberty Global, which is now known as Liberty Charge.
Liberty Charge’s focus is on rolling out on-street residential electric charging points in the UK and building a scalable under-the-pavement network for those households that don’t have access to private driveways. It shows Zouk’s commitment to decarbonisation and promoting a diversified public EV charging infrastructure, investing both in charge point operators (such as Instavolt) and setting up innovative ventures with strategic partners.
EV charging infrastructure remains a highly active and fast moving space. We continue to support Zouk on further investments in this sector.
We very much enjoyed working with Graham and Yulia who led the Fladgate team from the front in terms of their hard work, responsiveness and attention to detail in what proved to be a complex transaction
