Fladgate has advised Gareth Bale on his much-publicised loan move from Real Madrid to Tottenham Hotspur. This follows on from Fladgate’s work in advising Gareth on his then world-record transfer to Real Madrid back in 2013.
Fladgate has continued to advise Gareth on his commercial activities, which
include the setting up and structuring of his mini-golf entertainment venue, Par 59, and sports themed restaurant, Elevens Bar & Grill, and exemplifies the wide ranging expertise of the firm’s Sports Business Group, headed by Jim Earl. This transaction also follows a string of recent high profile deals for the Fladgate team, including advising Guild Esports on its investment agreement with David Beckham and proposed IPO on the London Stock Exchange, and acting for Limelight Sports in relation to its recent acquisition of Virgin Sport.
The Fladgate team comprises Grant Gordon (Corporate), Alan Wetterhahn
(Sport/IP), Hamilton Forrest (Tax) and Adrian Mawlabaux (Funds/Finance).
