Our multi-disciplinary team advises on the structuring and coordination of cross-border transactions in: M&A, investments and private equity fields, commercial real estate, all forms of dispute resolution and banking and finance. This is across a variety of sectors including: energy, construction, consumer goods, real estate, leisure and hospitality.

The India team handles cases of considerable size and complexity for corporate and individual clients for all forms of commercial dispute resolution, including high court litigation, international and domestic arbitrations and mediation. We also advise non-resident Indians and high net worth Indian individuals, who are the promoters and controlling shareholders of companies, and trusts on personal wealth management matters including tax, estate and succession considerations, as well as advising on their corporate, financial, residential real estate, UK immigration and other legal needs.

We maintain strong ties and work closely with a number of law firms based in India, the UAE, and Singapore and have excellent relationships with South-East Asian desks of UK and international private banks.

• Advised Flora Developments, a subsidiary of ABIL Infraprojects – a large Indian construction, real estate development and hospitality company – on the purchase and then the subsequent sale of a hotel development site on the Strand.
• Advised Bharti Group Limited on the sale of its 20% stake in SB Energy Holdings Limited to Adani Green Energy Limited, the largest acquisition in the renewable energy sector in India, valuing SB Energy Holdings Limited at an enterprise value of approximately USD 3.5 billion.
• Acted for a large Indian construction, real estate development and hospitality company, for the acquisition of prime real estate in Central London for a purchase price of £92.5 million. The property currently benefits from existing mixed-use planning permission but may, subject to planning permission, be redeveloped for hotel use.

• Acted for LSL Capital on all matters relating to their collection of restaurants in Central London, including Jamavar, Bombay Bustle, Mimi Mei Fair, KOYN and Socca.

• Acted for OneWeb Limited on a range of corporate and commercial matters.

• Acted for the owners of the Taj Dubai hotel in relation to the purchase, financing, construction, operation and management arrangements with Taj Group.

• Advised Force India F1 team on various litigation, arbitration and sporting matters including an appeal to the FIA International Court in Paris.

• Advised Mahindra Racing, the Formula E racing team, on driver and supply contracts and various disputes.

• Advised City of Hyderabad and Greenko Group on a Host City Agreement for a Formula E race.

• Advised Supermax on joint venture dispute with PE investor in English court proceedings.

• Advising Indian party on high profile joint venture dispute with well-known fast food franchisor in an LCIA arbitration.

• Advised Amtek Auto in respect of Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds and subsequent English court proceedings.

• Advised Flyington on court proceedings in respect of non-delivery of ten Airbus aircraft.
